Museum of the Puck Region

The Museum of the Puck Region is a cultural institution with collections spread across multiple buildings in the city center, featuring local finds and archaeological objects. Its grounds include an open-air exhibition area in Nadole and a preserved rural farmhouse that illustrates the living conditions of former residents.

The institution was founded in 1970 as a cultural station and received official museum status in 1980. Its main building is a former hospital dating back to the 17th century, providing the institution with a historic foundation.

The collections feature Kashubian crafts and regional clothing that show how people lived and worked in this area long ago. The displayed objects from everyday life provide visitors with a direct sense of the community's traditions and skills.

The museum operates three separate exhibition spaces for visitors to explore, including an outdoor area. It makes sense to allow time for all sections, as they cover different collections and themes.

The museum manages Zagroda Gburska, a restored rural dwelling that shows how wealthy peasant families arranged and organized their homes in this region. This preserved residential compound offers a rare glimpse into life away from towns.
