Museum of Scouting, Warsaw, Museum of Scouting in Central Warsaw, Poland.
The Museum of Scouting in Warsaw houses uniforms, badges, photographs, and documents tracing the history of Polish scouting over many decades. The displays show how this youth movement developed and evolved through different periods.
Early plans for such an institution date back to 1916, but World War II prevented their realization. The current museum was established in 2001 to finally preserve and share this important history.
The exhibits reveal how scouting shaped generations of Polish youth through outdoor activities and shared values. Visitors can see the lasting influence this movement has had on teaching responsibility and teamwork.
The museum is open on weekdays and offers guided tours by arrangement. Plan your visit in advance to ensure you can explore the collections properly and receive information about access and facilities.
From 2005 to 2010, the collections were housed temporarily in an Egyptian Temple within Lazienki Park. This unusual location was a distinctive chapter in the museum's journey before settling in its current home.
