Biały Pałacyk na Frascati, Classical palace in Śródmieście district, Warsaw, Poland.
Biały Pałacyk na Frascati is a neoclassical residence with a symmetrical layout featuring a two-story central block and single-story wings finished in light stone. It now houses the Museum of the Earth of the Polish Academy of Sciences, presenting collections focused on geology and natural history.
The building was erected in the late 18th century on land that previously contained a designed garden. It became part of a larger aristocratic estate complex that shaped the family's presence in the district for generations.
The palace gained the nickname 'Córkarnia' because it housed the four daughters of the Branicki family while their parents occupied the neighboring Red Palace. This name reflects how locals understood the building's role within the family's larger estate.
The building stands in an active urban area and can be viewed from the street, though entry to the interior depends on current museum hours. Plan to check ahead if you wish to see the collections inside, as access may vary throughout the year.
Inside, a two-story oval ballroom connects through an upper-level salon to an adjoining orangery, creating an unusual vertical space arrangement. This design reflects how the residence was planned for entertaining and hosting gatherings within its interior layout.
