Vincent de Paul Basilica in Bydgoszcz

The Vincent de Paul Basilica is a Catholic church with Neoclassical design, built from brick with a monumental dome at its center. The interior features a large cupola that covers the main worship space and creates an open feeling beneath it.

The foundation stone was laid in 1925, beginning construction of the church building. During World War II, German forces closed it and converted it into a storage facility until 1945.

The bronze doors feature relief carvings of the Beatitudes, while interior mosaics show biblical scenes about Christian charity. These artistic elements tell stories of faith and compassion for others.

The church sits in the city center and is walkable from nearby areas, with room for visitors inside and outside the front entrance. Parking is available nearby, and entry is at ground level making it easy to access.

The building has an underfloor heating system that was unusual for churches when it was built. This technical solution showed early adoption of modern engineering in religious construction.
