Tobołów, Mountain summit in Poręba Wielka, Poland.
Tobołów is a mountain summit rising to 994 meters above sea level between the Porębianka and Koninka streams in the Gorce Mountains of southern Poland. The peak sits at the edge of open meadows bordered by beech and spruce forests.
Starting in the 1980s, traditional grazing and mowing practices gradually ceased on the meadows of Tobołów. This shift in land use has shaped how the summit landscape appears today.
The summit hosts an educational board from Gorczański National Park that describes the visible peaks across the region. From this vantage point, visitors gain insight into the layout and character of the surrounding mountains.
A chairlift operates between Koninki and the summit, making access easier for those who prefer not to hike the full distance. The peak has a refreshment point and clear hiking trails that branch out to nearby peaks and valleys.
The beech-spruce forests surrounding the summit provide nesting habitat for the Ural owl, a bird species that depends on this mountain woodland. Patient visitors may spot or hear this owl during twilight hours.
