Turbaczyk

Turbaczyk is a mountain peak in the Gorce Mountains with a height of around 1078 meters. It is surrounded by dense beech forests and ringed by open meadows that shape its character.

The area has served as a crossing route between valleys since medieval times. This historic function shaped the network of paths that still exists today.

The meadows around this summit have long served as grazing grounds and meeting places for local herders and travelers. These open spaces remain central to how people experience and use the mountain landscape today.

The ascent is moderate with changing forest views and open sections along the way. Wearing sturdy shoes is advisable, especially when ground conditions are damp.

The beech forest here is home to the rare lunar flower, which blooms with fragrant purple blossoms in June. Many visitors pass by this delicate plant without noticing it among the larger greenery.
