University Bridge in Bydgoszcz

The University Bridge spans approximately 201 meters across the Brda River and features two tall pylons supporting the deck with steel cables. The structure allows vehicles, cyclists, and pedestrians to cross the river.

Construction of the bridge finished in 2013 and significantly improved the city's transportation infrastructure. The project was an important step in better connecting different parts of the city.

The structure has become a place where local people walk and enjoy views of the river below. Residents use it daily to cross between different parts of the city while taking in the water views.

You can walk, cycle, or drive across the bridge, with separate paths for pedestrians and cyclists. The site is freely accessible and good for crossing or strolling at any time of day.

A specialized system called SyncHoist was used during construction to position the heavy pylon segments with great precision. This technique allowed the sections to align perfectly and be assembled more quickly.
