Saint Anne church in Zieleniec

Saint Anne church is a stone building with a massive tower topped by a pyramidal spire sheathed in wooden shingles and a sandstone portal marking the main entrance. The structure showcases solid Romanesque Revival architecture with carefully crafted exterior details throughout its design.

Construction began in 1902 under Father Augustyn Grund, replacing an earlier wooden temple from the 18th century. The new stone structure replaced the older building as the community sought a more permanent place of worship.

The altar features a painting of Saints Anne and Joachim alongside statues of Apostles Peter and Paul, reflecting the religious devotion centered on these figures. The church remains a focal point for the local community's spiritual gatherings and daily faith practices.

The church is open for services on Sundays and Tuesday evenings, with accommodation nearby at Dom sv. Anny for those planning extended stays. Visitors should check specific times in advance to ensure they arrive during open hours.

Two baroque statues created in 1862 and 1866 by sculptor Johann Postler flank the main entrance, standing on neoclassical columns. These sculptures predate the current building and showcase the artistic heritage of the location.
