RTCN Mikstat, Broadcasting tower in Mikstat, Poland
RTCN Mikstat is a tall steel broadcasting tower rising 273 meters above the ground in southern Poland. The structure supports multiple antennas that transmit television and radio signals across a wide region.
Construction of this broadcasting facility began in 1995 under the direction of Telekomunikacja Polska, with the foundation stone laid by President Aleksander Kwaśniewski in September 1997. The transition from analog to digital transmission was completed in 2013.
The center broadcasts numerous Polish television channels and radio stations, including TVP programs, Radio Poznań, and multiple DAB+ digital radio channels.
The tower is located roughly 27 kilometers south of Kalisz and sits at an elevation of 218 meters above sea level. It serves the former Kalisz region and parts of neighboring areas with broadcast signals.
The facility completed its transition from analog to digital television transmission on May 20, 2013, marking a technological advancement in Polish broadcasting infrastructure.
