Pancernik is a ten-story residential building with cubic forms in Dąbie, distinguished by wide windows and protruding balconies. Each floor contains eight apartments with open floor plans designed for student living.
The building was constructed in 1929 by architect Adolf Rading as part of an exhibition on new housing concepts. After World War II, its purpose shifted from private housing to a student dormitory.
The name 'Pancernik' refers to the armored steel frame that remains visible throughout the structure. Visitors immediately notice how the robust materials and design create an impression of solidity and protection.
