The Water Tower in Śrem is a 43.7-metre brick tower built on a square plan, with four storeys and an overhanging top storey supported by a corbelled cornice. The fourth storey has stepped gables on each façade and octagonal corner turrets with tower roofs. The tower is topped by a tall tented roof of ceramic tiles with an octagonal lantern and spire. The façades are of clinker brick, the base is faced with stone, and a neo-Romanesque portal frames the north entrance.

The tower was built in 1908–1909 by Gustaw Wild's construction firm, together with the machine house and an iron-removal water treatment plant, to the design of engineer Ksawery Geisler. It crowned the municipal waterworks founded in Śrem in 1907, which formed one communal enterprise with the gasworks. Its top-level tank held 250 m³ of water. On 30 December 1918, scouts of the Tadeusz Rejtan troop under Marian Kujawski raised the first Polish flag on the tower during the Wielkopolska Uprising.

A plaque placed beside it on 27 December 2007, for the 89th anniversary of the uprising, bears the insurgent cross and the names of seven scouts who took part.

The tower stands on the left bank of the Warta, on an elevation, and its 43.7 m height makes it a visible landmark. In July 2020, warning signs about falling roof tiles were placed around it, so visitors should keep a safe distance from the facade. The building is not open to the public.

The first Polish flag in Śrem during the Greater Poland Uprising was raised on this tower on 30 December 1918 by scouts of the Tadeusz Rejtan troop under Marian Kujawski. A plaque placed beside the tower on 27 December 2007 names seven of the scouts who took part.
