Central Communication Port, Proposed airport in Masovian Voivodeship, Poland.
The Central Communication Port is a planned airport in western Masovian Voivodeship, about 25 miles southwest of Warsaw, designed to serve as a major hub for passengers and freight in Central Europe. The facility includes multiple runways, large terminal buildings, and a railway station integrated directly into the site.
Early ideas for a new airport near Warsaw appeared in the 1970s, but serious planning only started in 2017 when the Polish government officially announced the project. Construction is expected to begin in 2026, and completion will take several years.
The development integrates Polish engineering expertise with international aviation standards to create an advanced transportation network serving Central and Eastern Europe.
The location between Warsaw and Łódź allows for quick connections to both cities and beyond, while high-speed rail is planned to reduce travel time to the capital center to about 15 minutes. Access via highways and new rail lines will make reaching the site easier from different parts of Poland.
The design includes a planned city on several thousand hectares around the airport site, with business centers, hotels, and conference facilities. This surrounding development aims to create jobs and boost the region economically while serving as a service center for travelers.
