Butterfly Museum in Łeba

The Butterfly Museum in Łeba displays over 60 live butterflies from 10 different species in simulated natural settings, with specimens originating from Asia and South America. The collection occupies climate-controlled spaces where these insects move and feed freely.

The museum opened in 1998 and introduced the first specialized butterfly collection to northern Poland. This founding marked the beginning of systematic learning opportunities for lepidoptera research in the region.

The museum works with local schools to teach students about these insects, offering learning programs designed for different age groups.

The facility provides guided tours with information panels in multiple languages for international visitors. Warm clothing is not needed as the indoor spaces are kept at a comfortable temperature.
