Lake Zakrzówek

Lake Zakrzówek spans across 17 hectares of water surface, with limestone cliffs rising 30 meters above deep blue waters reaching depths of 21 meters.

The former limestone quarry transformed into a lake in 1990 when excavation work unexpectedly reached the underground water table, flooding the mining site.

The lake area connects to local folklore through caves where Pan Twardowski, a legendary Polish sorcerer, reportedly conducted alchemical experiments during the 16th century.

The southern section features five regulated swimming pools with changing rooms, while the northern area provides a beach and boat launch facilities.

The underwater landscape contains submerged vehicles and boats, making it a training location for scuba diving schools throughout the year.
