Agora Building in Warsaw

The Agora Building in Mokotów is a modern office complex with an irregular shape that adapts to its triangular plot of land. Its five stories feature gray concrete walls with rhythmically spaced windows creating a structured appearance across the angular facade.

JEMS Architekci completed this building in 2002 as Warsaw modernized its urban landscape following the post-communist transition. The project emerged during a period when the city saw rapid development of contemporary office spaces.

The building has hosted the headquarters of Agora S.A., the media company behind Gazeta Wyborcza newspaper, shaping how locals understand this spot as part of Poland's press landscape. This corporate presence influences how people in the neighborhood view the location today.

The building includes underground parking facilities and sits close to public transportation along Pulawska and Domaniewska streets. Pedestrian access is straightforward since the location sits within a well-connected business area.

The unusual triangular plot forced architects to find creative solutions to use every available space efficiently. This geometric constraint became a defining feature, giving the building its distinctive angular character.
