Zagorski Forest, Forest and park in Zagórze, Sosnowiec, Poland

Zagorski Forest is a large wooded area with diverse plant life located within Sosnowiec, specifically in the Zagórze neighborhood. Well-marked walking and cycling paths run through the forest, allowing visitors to explore different parts of the terrain.

The forest has remained relatively untouched despite the rapid industrial and urban growth that surrounded it in the Silesian region. It developed alongside Sosnowiec as the city grew, preserving its natural character through decades of change.

Local people visit the forest regularly to walk, cycle, and spend time outdoors with family and friends. The area serves as a gathering place where visitors connect with nature close to their homes.

Multiple entry points around the forest perimeter provide easy access, with parking available near the main entrances. Visitors should wear sturdy footwear, especially after rain, as paths can become muddy.

The forest blends manicured parkland with wild woodland, creating distinct environmental zones within walking distance of each other. Visitors can experience open meadows, dense forest, and managed areas all in the same visit.
