Casa das Pedras, Monument of public interest in Parede, Portugal.

Casa das Pedras stands on a 23-meter elevation above sea level, next to Marginal Avenue and Avencas Beach in the Parede district of Cascais.

Manuel de Azevedo Gomes, a Portuguese navy commander, commissioned architect Nicola Bigaglia to design Casa das Pedras, which was built between 1903 and 1904.

This four-story residence represents the summer architecture of late Romanticism in Cascais municipality, earning its Monument of Public Interest status in 2016.

The residential building maintains its original function and sits within the former Quinta do Moledo estate grounds, offering views of the surrounding coastal area.

The entire structure was constructed using stones collected from nearby beaches, incorporating sandstone, basalt, and limestone materials with visible signs of marine erosion.
