Crkva Svetih Vračeva Kuzme i Damjana, Serbian Orthodox church in Futog, Serbia
Crkva Svetih Vračeva Kuzme i Damjana is a baroque church in Futog with a long nave, semicircular apse, rectangular choir sections, and a bell tower above the western facade. The structure combines traditional Orthodox elements with 18th-century baroque architecture.
The church was built in 1776 and later recognized as a Monument of Culture of Great Importance. This designation preserved the heritage of the Serbian Orthodox tradition in the region.
The iconostasis was painted by Arsenije Teodorović in 1799 and shows the artistic tradition of Serbian Orthodox churches. Collections by Pavel Simić transferred from an older chapel document artistic continuity across generations.
The church is located at 16 Cara Lazara Street in Futog and managed by the Cultural Heritage Protection Office of Novi Sad. Visitors should respect the building as a protected monument during their visit.
The ceiling displays Marian-themed compositions depicting the protective role of the Virgin Mary, while the altar features a Last Supper painting. These visual themes combine religious devotion with artistic expression visible to visitors.
