Black Ćuprija, World War II memorial complex in Žabalj, Serbia.
The monument features concrete sculptures rising 9 meters high along the road connecting Novi Sad to Zrenjanin, stretching across 472 hectares of land.
Hungarian fascist forces executed local patriots at this location during the Novi Sad raid in January 1942, marking a tragic chapter in Serbian history.
The memorial complex, designed by sculptor Jovan Soldatović in 1962, represents Serbian resilience through its monumental architectural elements and sculptures.
The memorial site stands 10 kilometers from the center of Žabalj and remains accessible through regular transportation routes from surrounding municipalities.
The monument earned recognition as a Historic Landmark of Great Importance in Serbia, despite experiencing partial theft of its elements in 2009.
