Manastir Grabovac

Manastir Grabovac is an Orthodox monastery in Obrenovac featuring a main church with a single-nave design, semi-circular apse, and decorative rosette window above the entrance. The complex includes several auxiliary buildings arranged around the central church to form the complete monastic grounds.

The original monastery was founded in 1280 by King Dragutin, though the present structure dates to 1894 following several reconstructions and rebuildings. The span between these two dates shows how the site was developed and renewed through different historical periods.

The monastery serves as a spiritual gathering place for the local community during religious celebrations and commemorations. The carved decorative elements and interior ornaments reflect Orthodox craftsmanship traditions that have been passed down through time.
