Morozovsk, Administrative center in Rostov Oblast, Russia
Morozovsk is a city in Rostov Oblast located along the Bystraya River, a tributary of the Seversky Donets, roughly 265 kilometers northeast of Rostov-on-Don. The town stretches out from its origins as a settlement to serve as the regional administrative center today.
The settlement grew from Morozov farmstead in the 1880s and gained momentum after the railway station was built in 1900. The town received its official status in 1910, marking its rise as an administrative center.
