UMMC Museum of Military and Automotive Equipment, Military and automotive museum in Verkhnyaya Pyshma, Russia
The UMMC Museum of Military and Automotive Equipment is a facility in Verkhnyaya Pyshma with halls that gather tanks, aircraft, and automobiles from the 20th century. The buildings are organized by vehicle type, with separate areas for combat machinery, civilian transport, and aviation gear.
The facility was established in 2005 as a commemorative project marking the end of World War II and was expanded in the following years with automobile and aviation sections. The collection grew through purchases and donations from factories in the Ural region that were active during wartime production.
The name references the copper production of the region, which was processed into vehicle and tank casings in the collection. Many visitors from surrounding industrial towns come here to see machines their grandparents built or drove during wartime years.
The halls are covered and offer shelter from rain, with large windows providing natural light. Wide paths between displayed vehicles allow wheelchair users and families with strollers to move freely.
One exhibition area displays rare snowmobiles and armored sleds that were deployed in arctic regions of the country during the Cold War. These specialized vehicles were designed for use in extreme temperatures and deep snow.
