Храм-часовня иконы Божией Матери «Троеручица» в Орехове-Борисове

This wooden chapel rises with a central dome along Kashirskoye Highway in southern Moscow, featuring a hand-carved iconostasis in Greek style. Inside, sacred relics including those of Saint Panteleimon are displayed in a special reliquary.

Construction began in July 2002 in response to requests from local residents seeking an Orthodox worship space in their neighborhood. The first Divine Liturgy took place outdoors during the building process, showing how quickly the chapel became essential to the community.

The chapel holds the Three-Handed Icon of the Mother of God, a revered religious image that draws worshippers from across the city seeking spiritual connection. This sacred space serves as a focal point for personal prayer and devotion in the local community.

The chapel holds regular services and offers Sunday school programs for both children and adults throughout the week. Visitors should expect an open roadside setting along a major highway and plan to arrive by foot or public transport.

Plans exist for a major expansion featuring a large stone church with five domes and a bell tower to be built adjacent to the current wooden structure. This ambitious project reflects the growing spiritual importance of the site within the neighborhood.
