Елизавет, Residential district in Chkalovski district, Russia
Elizaveta is a residential district in the Chkalovski district north of Yekaterinburg, with established neighborhoods, shops, and public buildings spread throughout the area. The district sits near the Uktus Mountains and the Patrushikha River runs through it.
The settlement began in 1722 when an iron factory was built to process metals from local mining operations that continued into the mid-1800s. This early industrial foundation shaped the area's growth and character for many decades afterward.
The district houses the Temple of the Most Merciful Savior, established in 1877, representing the architectural and spiritual heritage of the neighborhood.
Public buses connect the area easily to central Yekaterinburg, and you will find schools, shops, and clinics throughout the district. Everything you need for a comfortable visit is available locally.
During World War II, factories and industries were relocated here from threatened regions, bringing rapid growth and manufacturing jobs to the area. This wartime expansion permanently changed the district's economic character.
