Yenisey Stadium

Yenisey Stadium is an indoor sports facility built for ice hockey with a playing surface measuring 114 by 70 meters. The venue has fixed seating arranged throughout to hold around 5,000 spectators for matches and other sporting events.

The stadium was first built in 1971 and underwent a complete renovation in 2018. This modernization prepared the facility to host the 2019 Winter Universiade ice hockey and bandy competitions.

The stadium takes its name from the nearby Yenisei River and serves as home to the professional ice hockey team HC Yenisey. It functions as a gathering place where the local community comes together to watch competitive matches and sporting events.

The stadium's roof is supported by nine arches, each spanning roughly 100 meters and made from laminated wooden segments stacked together. This building method was a new approach to stadium construction when it was completed.
