The Khrushchev-Seleznev Estate is a classicist mansion with a symmetrical facade, classical columns, and fine moldings that reflect early nineteenth-century design. Built between 1814 and 1816 by architect Afanasy Grigoriev, this mansion represents Moscow's residential architecture during the classicist period. It was constructed during a time when the city was rebuilding its architectural identity following the conflicts of the early nineteenth century.
