Södermanland Runic Inscription 113, Norse runestone in Kolunda, Eskilstuna Municipality, Sweden

Södermanland Runic Inscription 113 is a granite runestone in the churchyard of Stenkvista in Eskilstuna Municipality, Sweden. It reaches 2.20 meters (about 7 feet) in height and one meter (about 3 feet) in width, with its surface covered in serpentine patterns and runic characters.

The stone was originally laid as a floor slab at the entrance of Stenkvista church and remained buried for three decades after the building was demolished in 1794. It was later rediscovered and placed at its current location in the southwest corner of the churchyard.

The inscription names three brothers who wanted to honor their father, showing the family ties of the time. The name Tjudmund on the stone reminds visitors how relatives kept their dead in memory through such monuments.

The runestone stands in the southwest corner of Stenkvista churchyard near a road and is freely accessible. Visitors can best see the serpent ornaments and runes in good daylight.

The stone features a carved hammer of Thor rather than a Christian cross, which is rare for this type of memorial. The two serpents show bulging eyes and forked tongues that can be viewed from above.
