Villa Högudden

Villa Högudden is a two-story summer villa on Lidingö with a yellow exterior and varied roof levels. The building features towers, bay windows, wrap-around verandas, and intricate wooden decorative elements throughout its design.

The property was built in 1876 by real estate broker Magnus Neijber and underwent major renovations in 1895 when Professor Ragnar Bruzelius took ownership. Bruzelius served as the personal physician to King Oscar II.

The residence reflects the taste of wealthy Stockholm society, which favored English and American architectural styles in the late 19th century. You can see these preferences in the carefully crafted details and elaborate woodwork that distinguish the house.
