The Sail @ Marina Bay, Residential skyscraper in Downtown Core, Singapore
The Sail @ Marina Bay is a modern residential skyscraper in Downtown Core with two connected towers that rise above the waterfront and capture light with their reflective glass facades. The complex features an aerodynamic design where the towers are linked together at multiple levels throughout the structure.
Completed in 2008, the project was the first residential development in Singapore's newly developed downtown district, constructed on reclaimed land. The building's arrival marked the beginning of the area's transformation into a mixed-use waterfront neighborhood.
The building's form echoes a sail billowing in the wind above Marina Bay, connecting the design to Singapore's maritime past. This visual language ties the structure to the waterfront's historical role in the city's development.
The building offers direct access to the nearby MRT station, making it easy to explore the wider area. Visitors can freely walk around the exterior and public spaces to enjoy the views across the waterfront and observe the design from different angles.
Five penthouses crown the top of the complex, offering private outdoor spaces with panoramic views across the entire bay. These luxury residences are visible from outside through their expansive glass walls and terraced layouts at the tower's peak.
