CapitaGreen, Modern skyscraper in Raffles Place, Singapore.
CapitaGreen is a modern skyscraper in Raffles Place that rises 245 meters high with 40 stories above ground. The building features integrated vertical gardens on its exterior walls and offers approximately 82,000 square meters of office space.
The building was constructed between 2012 and 2014 and replaced the former Market Street Car Park. This development marked a significant modernization of the Raffles Place district during that period.
Japanese architect Toyo Ito designed the building with a concept representing a plant growing toward the sun, reflecting Singapore's connection with nature. The vertical gardens on its exterior walls are visible expressions of this approach and shape how the tower appears within the business district.
The tower connects directly to Raffles Place MRT station, making arrival and access straightforward. The building was designed with modern elevator systems and wide access areas to allow easy navigation.
At the top of the tower sits a 45-meter-high structure shaped like flower petals that channels fresh air into the office spaces. This innovative feature works with natural wind patterns and improves ventilation across the work floors.
