V on Shenton, Architectural structure in Central Business District, Singapore
V on Shenton is a twin-tower development on Shenton Way featuring two buildings of different purposes and heights. The office building has 23 stories while the residential tower rises to 54 stories, creating a distinctive two-part form in the business district.
This development was completed in 2017, replacing the previous UIC Building that had occupied this site. The project transformed this part of the business district into a mixed-use area for both living and working.
Three local design studios shaped the interior spaces, bringing their own approach to how residents and workers experience the building. Their work is visible in the common areas and how people move through the building daily.
The residential tower provides several on-site facilities for its residents, including a swimming pool, fitness center, and laundry services. Outdoor kitchen spaces are also available within the complex for communal use.
The exterior features a hexagonal pattern designed to respond to tropical sun and heat exposure. These geometric shapes create shade and affect how daylight enters the interior spaces.
