International Plaza

International Plaza is a modern skyscraper in Tanjong Pagar featuring a triangular seven-story podium housing a shopping center and an octagonal 43-story tower with offices and apartments. The structure integrates retail, office space, and residential units in a single mixed-use complex.

The tower was completed in 1976 and marked a key phase in Singapore's central area redevelopment plan launched in 1966. It reflects the urban modernization that transformed this district.

The building demonstrates Singapore's approach to mixed-use development by combining commercial, residential, and retail spaces under one roof. This model shapes how people move through the space, mixing work, shopping, and living in one location.

The complex features two internal courtyards that bring natural light and air circulation throughout the structure, plus a dedicated 36th floor for recreation. This special level includes a swimming pool and fitness facilities for residents and office workers.
