Fuji Xerox Towers, Office skyscraper in Anson, Singapore
Fuji Xerox Towers is a 38-floor office tower at 80 Anson Road in the Anson district of Singapore, with a glass and metal facade in the modern style. The building rises to about 165 meters and is one of the taller structures along the Anson Road corridor.
The building opened in 1987 as IBM Towers, during a period when Singapore was expanding its central business district with new office space. In 2004, Fuji Xerox became the main tenant and the tower took its current name.
The tower stands in the heart of Tanjong Pagar, a neighborhood that shifted from an old port area to one of Singapore's main office districts over recent decades. Walking the streets below, you can see how glass and steel have long overtaken the old shophouses nearby.
The nearest MRT station, Tanjong Pagar, is just a short walk away, making it easy to reach from most parts of the city. There are many restaurants and cafes nearby, especially busy at lunchtime on weekdays.
In 2005, the building received the Energy Smart Label Award from Singapore's National Environment Agency for its energy conservation measures. This made it one of the first towers in the city to earn such formal recognition for sustainable building, well before this became standard practice in Singapore.
