Hat Wanakon National Park

The protected area extends over 38 square kilometers, encompassing sandy beaches, coral reefs, and two islands situated seven kilometers from the shore.

The national park emerged from a transformation of an arboretum and silviculture station, receiving its official designation on December 30, 1992.

The park maintains strong connections with local fishing communities while implementing specific zones to protect marine life and preserve traditional practices.

Visitors can access the park by turning off the main road one kilometer past Khlong Hin Chuang village and following a three-kilometer path.

The marine section contains the rare Acropora cytherea coral species in waters reaching depths between eight to ten meters.
