Göksu Park

Göksu Park is a large recreational area in Ankara centered around a lake that invites people to walk and relax. Around the water there are various sports facilities and paths for jogging or leisurely strolls.

The lake area remained untouched for many years until the 1960s when maintenance work on the water body began. These early interventions later formed the foundation for developing the site into a popular gathering place.

The park features an amphitheater that accommodates 1,000 people, creating opportunities for performances and community gatherings throughout the year.

The park is easy to explore on foot with wide paths for walking, jogging, or cycling suitable for all fitness levels. Visitors should bring water and sun protection, as shaded areas are limited.

Next to the lake stands a distinctive tower from which visitors can view the surroundings and walk to wooden platforms. From there it is possible to observe the waterfowl that live in the park.
