The Ankara Aviation Museum spans over 64,000 square meters, displaying military aircraft, historical mockups, and interactive exhibits focusing on Turkish aviation development.
Inaugurated on September 18, 1998, in the presence of Sabiha Gökçen, the first female combat pilot in Turkey and adopted daughter of Atatürk.
The museum exhibits feature Ottoman aviation pioneers like Lagari Hasan Çelebi and Hezarfen Ahmet Çelebi through detailed historical representations and artifacts.
Located in the Etimesgut district of Ankara, the museum welcomes visitors daily except Mondays from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM with free admission.
Visitors can experience sitting in actual cockpits of Lockheed T-33 and Northrop F-5 aircraft, providing direct contact with historical aviation equipment.
