Ankara Aviation Museum

The Ankara Aviation Museum is a transport museum in Etimesgut that displays military aircraft, historical replicas, and interactive exhibits. The collection focuses on the development of Turkish aviation from its beginnings to the present day.

The museum was founded in 1998 to document Turkey's aviation history. Since then it has become an important place for preserving and displaying this industrial and technological development.

The museum is located in an airfield area and is therefore easily accessible by car, with adequate parking on site. Visitors should wear comfortable shoes as the tour through the large exhibition halls and outdoor spaces requires a lot of walking.

Visitors can climb into actual cockpits of fighter aircraft like the F-5 and experience what it felt like to sit in them. This direct experience with real aircraft gives an impression of the power and design of these machines.
