Museum of Turkish Aeronautical Association

The Museum of Turkish Aeronautical Association displays military aircraft and helicopters across indoor and outdoor spaces with a large collection. Visitors can enter cockpits of different planes and see how these machines are constructed.

The museum opened in 1998 and displays artifacts from Ottoman-era Turkish aviation pioneers. Its collection traces the development of Turkish aviation through historical equipment and photographs.

The museum honors female aviators in Turkey, particularly Sabiha Gökçen, the first female combat pilot, through personal belongings and exhibition materials. Visitors encounter these displays as they move through the galleries.

The collection includes a Polish-variant MiG-17 from the Bulgarian Air Force and a Shenyang J-6 from the Pakistani Air Force. These uncommon aircraft illustrate international connections in military aviation history.
