METU Science and Technology Museum

METU Science and Technology Museum is a science museum in Ankara housing indoor exhibitions and outdoor spaces. The collections feature interactive displays and vehicles such as aircraft and locomotives spread across extensive grounds.

The steel-structured complex began construction in 2002 and opened to visitors in 2005 as part of the university. Its founding was tied to documenting and displaying the nation's technological progress.

The museum houses artifacts showing the nation's technological progress, including personal items from former leaders. The collections tell how innovation has shaped society across the decades.

The site combines indoor and outdoor areas, allowing visitors to move between them easily. Good footwear is advisable since the outdoor exhibition is spread across large grounds.

The building itself features notable architecture with a large glass reception hall and an integrated audiovisual center. The site was conceived with plans for future expansion, including an amphitheater with a pond on the grounds.
