Beştepe People's Mosque

Beştepe People's Mosque is a contemporary religious building in Ankara's Presidential Complex, covering more than 5,000 square meters. It features four minarets reaching 60 meters high and contains three floors designed to accommodate around 3,000 worshippers.

The mosque was inaugurated on July 3, 2015, by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan as part of the Presidential Palace complex. It was designed from the start to increase public access to government facilities and religious spaces within the same location.

The mosque's design draws from Seljuk and Ottoman architectural traditions, visible in decorative details and spatial layout. Visitors can observe how these historical references blend with contemporary construction methods.

The building is wheelchair accessible with elevators and separate areas for female worshippers. Visitors should check in advance about visiting hours, as they align with prayer times throughout the day.

The mosque sits within a sprawling complex that brings together religious, cultural, and administrative functions in one area. This integration of different activities on the grounds creates an unusual configuration for a place of worship.
