CSO Ada Ankara, Concert hall in Altındağ, Turkey.
CSO Ada Ankara is a modern concert hall with three performance spaces: a main auditorium holding around 2,000 people, a mid-sized hall with 500 seats, and a smaller chamber orchestra room. The complex also includes a museum and an outdoor area for larger events.
The project started in 1995 after winning a national architecture competition. The building opened to the public in 2020 and became one of Ankara's newest cultural venues.
The venue hosts the Presidential Symphony Orchestra alongside state choirs and traditional music groups, creating a space where different musical traditions meet. Visitors experience both Western classical works and Turkish musical heritage performed in the same building.
The venue is accessible by public transportation and has parking available for visitors. Check ahead for event schedules and opening times to plan your visit properly.
The building features distinctive geometric shapes: a triangular foyer, an egg-shaped dome for the main hall, and a sphere-like chamber room. These unusual architectural forms are immediately noticeable as you move through the different spaces.
