Historical Hall of the CSO Ada Ankara

This concert facility is a multi-building complex with three indoor halls designed for different event sizes: the main hall holds about 2,000 guests, while two smaller halls accommodate 500 and 650 people respectively. The grounds also include practice rooms, an orchestra history museum, and dining areas.

Construction began in 1995 following a 1992 architectural competition won by designers Semra and Özcan Uygur. The project emerged as part of efforts to develop Ankara with modern cultural venues.

The orchestra performs here regularly and shapes the musical life of the city. The halls attract both classical music enthusiasts and visitors interested in experiencing live performances without specialized knowledge.

The facility is easily accessible and provides adequate parking options. Visitors should note that the halls are arranged for different event types, and it helps to check in advance which performances are scheduled in which halls.

The main hall has featured an innovative air-formed membrane roof system since 2012 that was specifically engineered to balance sound across the large space. This technical feature was pioneering in the world and significantly enhances performance quality.
