Oleksandrivka, Rural settlement near Chornomorsk, Ukraine.
Oleksandrivka is a small town on the right bank of the Sukhyi Estuary, within the Chornomorsk Hromada of Odesa Oblast in southern Ukraine. It sits in a flat coastal landscape, facing the estuary on one side and open steppe terrain on the other.
The town was founded in 1798 and over time moved through several different administrative units, reflecting the shifting borders and authorities of the region. In 2020, it became part of the Chornomorsk Hromada following a national reform that reorganized local government across Ukraine.
The settlement sits along the edge of the Sukhyi Estuary, and this natural boundary shapes how people here relate to their surroundings. Life follows a slow rural rhythm, with residents maintaining ties to the land and water that have defined the area for generations.
The town is accessible by road via Highway M27, which links it to both Odesa and Chornomorsk. The nearest train station is in Velykodolynske, so visitors arriving by rail will need to arrange onward road transport to reach the town.
The name Oleksandrivka is shared by many different settlements across Ukraine, which can make it easy to confuse this town with others of the same name. This particular one is set apart by its position directly along the Sukhyi Estuary, giving it a coastal edge that most of its namesakes do not have.
