Braehead Arena, Indoor sports arena in Renfrewshire, Scotland
Braehead Arena is a modern indoor venue situated beside the River Clyde with seating for around 5,200 people. The facility accommodates ice hockey, tennis, wrestling, and various musical performances throughout the year.
The arena was constructed in 1999 by Building Design Partnership as a major entertainment venue for the Renfrewshire region. Over the following decades, its programming evolved to include both local sports teams and international touring acts.
The arena serves as home to the Glasgow Clan ice hockey team and draws spectators from across the region regularly. Beyond sports, it hosts concerts and major events that bring people together throughout the year.
The venue sits roughly 15 minutes' drive from Glasgow city center and provides 5,000 parking spaces on-site. Public transportation connects well to the location, making it accessible whether you arrive by car or transit.
The venue originally hosted the Scottish Eagles ice hockey team before becoming home to Glasgow Clan. Since then it has transformed into a stage for international acts like Beyoncé and Tiësto.
