Brent Reservoir, Reservoir and protected wildlife site in North West London, England
The Brent Reservoir spans 170 acres between the London boroughs of Brent and Barnet, containing over 57 million cubic feet of water.
The reservoir construction finished in 1835 to supply water to the Regent's Canal, initially flooding Cockman's Farm and extending across 400 acres.
The reservoir holds sailing competitions through multiple clubs, including the Welsh Harp Sailing Club and Wembley Sailing Club, establishing water sports traditions.
Visitors can access walking paths around the reservoir perimeter, though swimming remains prohibited and certain areas maintain restricted entry.
The Department of Mechanical Warfare conducted secret weapon testing at this location during World War I.
