Bluestonehenge, Archaeological site in Wiltshire, England.
The site contains circular stone settings and a surrounding ditch located one mile southeast from Stonehenge near the River Avon.
Archaeological excavations in 2008 and 2009 revealed stone holes and tools dating the monument between 3000 and 2400 BCE.
The stone circle served as a ceremonial stopping point along an ancient processional route connecting Durrington Walls with Stonehenge.
The site remains underground with no visible structures, requiring visitors to rely on guided interpretation to understand its archaeological layout.
Small fragments of Welsh bluestone found in the settings indicate a connection with Stonehenge, as both sites used stones transported from Pembrokeshire.
