The Medina Mosque features traditional Islamic architecture with one central dome and two minarets, built using local brick materials in Sheffield's urban landscape.
The construction of this £5 million mosque project reached completion in October 2006, representing the first purpose-built mosque in Sheffield, South Yorkshire.
The mosque includes nineteen rooms, two large halls, and a library that serve the Muslim populations of Nether Edge and Sharrow through various educational programs.
Friday prayers at the mosque begin with sermons in English, Arabic, and Urdu at 13:30, followed by prayer sessions at 14:00 for the congregation.
The mosque contains a modern madrassah equipped with digital resources and technology to maintain high standards in Islamic education for children.
