Queen's House, Residential wing at Tower of London, England.
The Queen's House is a residential building within the Tower of London complex with characteristic half-timbered details, built around 1530. It survives as a separate structure within the fortress and can be viewed as part of the visitor route.
The ruler commissioned this house in the 1530s to provide lodging for a partner. The location later became notorious when a prisoner made a confession about a famous plot while detained there.
The building reflects Tudor tastes and shows how royal spaces were arranged during that era. Visitors can see how rulers and their advisors lived and worked in these rooms.
The house is located within the fortress and accessible to Tower of London visitors. The best time to visit is early in the day when crowds are thinner, especially during peak tourist season.
A famous conspirator made his confession here and revealed details of a planned royal assassination from the 1600s. These rooms are therefore tied to a dramatic turn in English history.
