Florence Court, Historic manor house and forest park in County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland.
Florence Court is an 18th-century manor house with extensive grounds near Enniskillen, County Fermanagh. The estate spans around 1,200 hectares of woodland on the northeast side of Cuilcagh Mountain, with maintained paths and natural landscapes throughout.
Sir John Cole founded this estate in the early Georgian period and named it after his wife Lady Florence. The house and grounds developed into a record of aristocratic life during that era.
The house displays remarkable Irish furniture collections and intricate Rococo plasterwork that shows Georgian craftsmanship in Ireland. The rooms reveal how wealthy families lived and what they valued in their homes.
The estate has around 15 kilometers of marked walking trails suitable for hiking, cycling, and horseback riding. Bicycles are available for rent at the visitor center, and the paths work for different activities and skill levels.
Growing in the gardens is a special yew variety recognized as the origin of all Irish yew trees. This single tree serves as a living record of botanical history and draws visitors interested in how plant species spread.
