Marsco

Marsco is a mountain on the Isle of Skye in Scotland that rises to 736 meters. The summit features a grassy mound with a cairn, while the surrounding terrain drops away steeply on most sides.

The mountain became an established climbing destination in the early 1900s as documented routes were first recorded. These routes grew in popularity as more people came to explore the Scottish Highlands.

Local mountaineering groups regularly organize guided climbs of Marsco, contributing to the preservation of Scottish Highland climbing traditions.

The rock layers visible here reveal volcanic activity from different geological periods. These formations show evidence of several separate volcanic eruptions that occurred at different times in Earth's history.
