Alfred Denny Building, University science building in Sheffield, England
The Alfred Denny Building rises seven floors high with red brick walls, housing scientific departments of the University of Sheffield's Western Bank Campus.
Constructed between 1965 and 1971, this structure was initially planned as an administrative center before being converted into a biology facility.
The building contains the Alfred Denny Museum, named after the university's first professor of biology who established the original collection in Firth Court.
Students access multiple lecture theaters, laboratories, computer facilities, and specialized centers for disabled and dyslexic individuals across the seven floors.
From 2014 to 2016, the south wall displayed a pollution-reducing poem printed on fabric that removed two tons of pollutants through catalytic oxidation.
